Senior TypeScript/NodeJS Engineer

Our Client is a global technology platform operating at the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. Headquartered in Montreal, it features a mix of established and emerging luxury brands across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and acessories.

Requirements:

Must have:

• A minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
• Experience with TypeScript/NodeJS
• Experience with AWS services: SNS, SQS
• Experience with OOP
• Experience with Docker and microservice architectures
• Upper Intermediate English.

Nice to have:

• React Native (iOS app)
• Vue.js
• PHP 7.1+
• Java 1.8

Preferences:

• AWS DynamoDB, Docker, Messaging/Event Architecture, PHP, react, Java, Vue.js

Job Responsibilities:

• To communicate and to support the users/non-technical stakeholders with their issues
• To investigate/analyze/fix/test the bugs from such issues
• To optimize the business operation flows through tools or software improvements
• To monitor and to react to alerts raised from production systems
• To document the fixes as runbooks so that other developer in the team can follow and reuse the same fixes (the team is split in multiple timezones)
