Middle SQL Developer

The project aims to help schools reduce their energy usage and decrease energy bills, also to educate their pupils about energy efficiency. We are working on the easy-to-use Energy Platform that comprises the following things:

• energy management portal to help staff manage energy and heat usage in school buildings;
• tariff switching portal to compare time-of-use based tariffs;
• teacher and pupil portal and an energy display (TV) to support behavior change and engage building users on energy issues;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar
• Verifiable experience with no less than 2 years of development under SQL
• Strong knowledge and skills in SQL, stored procedures, and CTE querying techniques
• Good knowledge and skills in analyzing query performance and performance tuning
• Good problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning and implementing emerging technologies
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (at least intermediate English level)
• Organized and self-directing with the ability to identify priorities and achieve results

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to identify requirements, develop data models, perform data analysis, write SQL queries, design and code complex stored procedures, and performance tune existing database processes
• Assist with complex query tuning and schema refinement
• Developing software solutions utilizing agile methodologies
• Maintenance and support
• Monitoring and performance optimization
• Review and optimize functions, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, to ensure optimal coding goes into production
