Job Description
By bringing businesses together and powering e-commerce with unique data-driven insights, we deliver new business opportunities and new dimensions of growth for customers around the world. The product allows global merchants to work together with payment partners from Africa to the Americas, accelerating the performance of everyone on the inside.
We are now working on a new version of the application platform into the AWS cloud and there is a need for developing a stateless RPC based user identity microservice that would provide a kind of external identifier used across other services in the whole ecosystem, giving for user referencing purposes and should provide an API for users data management. A simple single-page web application will also be written for storing and managing system configurations, which will be utilizing the APIs from the identity microservice.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of programming experience with Java and Scala including object-oriented design.
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
- Good understanding of the big data and cloud computing space.
- Experience with the Apache Spark ecosystem and other related big data technologies.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- AWS Certification is a plus.
- BS or BA degree is a big plus.
