The client is an industrial asset disposition and management company, that sells heavy industrial equipment and trucks through auctions and other transactional channels. The program consisting of 20+ engineers will include Architecture, Platform and Data Management teams working from offshore and nearshore locations augmenting the existing onsite engineering team.
Requirements:
We are looking for a Data Engineer deeply experienced with MSSQL to join our team working on developement of an AWS-based distributed data-pipeline in a project of modernization of client’s Data Warehousing
The requirements for this position are the following:
- Good knowledge and experience with MSSQL-related ecosystem and technologies:
- Microsoft SQL Server DBMS: data manipulation, server administration, database performance optimization
- Experience with complex T-SQL including stored procedures, nested queries, and data transformation.
- Microsoft Business Intelligence stack: SSIS, SSAS Tabular Model (DAX), SSRS (SQL, MDX)
- Knowledge of MSSQL-based data warehouse set-up in AWS
- Ability to work in a small team responsible for ETL and data warehousing
- Working with Agile methodology
- Good spoken and written English
Will be a plus:
- Experience with AWS-based technologies such as: S3, Glue, Lambda, Lake Formation, CloudFormation, Athena
- Experience with Snowflake or other distributed data warehousing solutions (Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, etc.)
- Modern programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, C#, etc.)
- Experience with Tableau (creation of data sources, Tableau Server administration)
Preferences:
- Snowflake, IntelliJ IDEA, PostgreSQL, Tableau, Java
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, set-up, and optimize MSSQL-related ecosystem according to client’s requirements
- Contribute to team’s activity on design, development, and testing data management related solutions
- Participate in work planning and estimation
- Present technical solutions to various stakeholders
- Develop and maintain sufficient support documentation to facilitate day-to-day support of the MSSQL ecosystem
- Support migration of MSSQL data to Snowflake or other modern distributed data warehousing solutions
